Managing Pending Contributions Made on Political Donation Forms
When donors make donations to donation forms of the Political Campaign type, contributions that exceed the Gift Queuing Threshold (entered when the form was created) are placed on the Pending Contributions list. These gifts are pre-approved by the donor’s bank but then must await administrator approval before the system can actually process them. As a courtesy to these donors, you should review these transactions frequently to avoid letting them expire.
You can set up an automatic processing schedule to approve or reject the pending political contributions that exceed the Gift Queuing Threshold entered when the political donation form was created.
You can manually view the Pending Contributions list and approve, reject, or ignore the donations on it.
You can view a list of any pending transactions that failed the last time they were processed. Pending transactions may fail because of the payment-processing gateway or expiration of the pre-authorization period.
