Donation Classic is Luminate Online’s legacy solution for creating online donation forms. It’s designed to help organizations manage fundraising, membership drives, tribute and memorial gifts, and more—all in one place. With Donation Classic, you can configure multiple giving levels, add premiums (like t-shirts or calendars) to incentivize donors, and track donor groups automatically. Both online and offline donations are supported, so you can include cash and check gifts in your campaign totals.
What Can You Do with Donation Classic?
Donation Classic offers several form templates to match your fundraising goals:
Fundraising Forms: Set up multiple giving levels (including custom amounts), associate premiums, and enable options for honorary, joint, anonymous, or company-matched gifts.
Sustaining Forms: Allow donors to schedule recurring payments, with all the options available in fundraising forms.
Membership Forms: Tailored for membership drives, with language and options suited for registration.
Political Forms: (If enabled) Require donors to agree to legal terms, provide employer details, and comply with gift queuing thresholds. Gifts over a certain amount require additional authorization and are considered pending until finalized. Honorary, joint, and anonymous gifts are not available for this form.
Memorial and Tribute Forms: Let donors honor someone with their gift, including space for honoree details, a representative to notify, and a message.
Personal Message Forms: Similar to fundraising forms, but donors can add comments (e.g., for commemorative items). Honorary gifts are not available.
Engaging Your Donors
Donation Classic streamlines donor engagement by sending customizable autoresponder emails to thank contributors and offers features like donation thermometers to visualize fundraising progress. Each giving level automatically creates a group for easy tracking and follow-up, helping you maintain strong relationships with your supporters. You can display a donation thermometer on your site to show fundraising progress in real time, with a link to your donation form for easy access.
Flexible Linking and Premiums
Published forms automatically appear on your Donation List page while active, but you can also link to forms from other pages or emails. Direct links to specific giving levels or premium lists are supported, and donors can use a shopping cart to select multiple premiums.
