To associate a promotion code with a giving level and make it available

  1. From the top of an Administrator page, select Fundraising > Donation Management.

  2. On the Campaigns list page, select the All Donation Forms tab.

  3. In the list of Donation Forms, select Edit in the Actions column next to the appropriate donation form.

  4. From the options along the left, select Step 2, Configure Donation Levels.

  5. In the Donation Level List, select Edit in the Actions column next to the giving level to associate with a promotion code.

  6. On the Identify Donation Level page, for Promotion Code, enter a combination of letters and numbers to create the code.

    Note: The promotion code is case-sensitive.

  7. Select Save.

  8. Test your promotion code:

    1. From the options along the left, select Step 7, Test Drive.

    2. In the Test with this Promotion Code field, enter the promotion code along with any additional necessary information.

    3. Select Test.

    4. In the Test-Drive Preview, complete the pages to make certain the form looks and behaves as you expect it to.

  9. To include the promotion code in a link to a donation form or email:

    1. Open the content editor window for the page or email.

    2. Enter the text that you want to use for a link and highlight it.

    3. Select the Insert Link icon.

    4. Select Browse Links.

    5. In the Link Type column, choose Donation Form.

    6. Select the donation form.

    7. In the Advanced Options section, enter the promo code in the Promotion Code field.

    8. Select Select.

    9. Select Insert.

    10. Test the link in the Content Editor to verify that it opens correctly.

  10. Save your work and complete the page or email.
