Campaign Email Performance

Use the Campaign Email Performance statistics as a way to see the action taken on your email messages for a specific email campaign.

Note: If you have MultiCenter, the statistics shown will be for the site in which you are logged in.

Messages Sent

This is how many messages were sent to the email processing server (MTA) for this campaign in Luminate history.

Emails Sent

This is how many emails were sent to the email processing server (MTA) for this campaign in Luminate history.

Note: Once an email message has been received by the MTA, it is placed in a queue to be sent to the appropriate email service provider (ESP such as Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail, etc.). On receipt of the email, the ESP performs additional processing before delivering the email to the recipients. As a result, there may be several hours delay between when the delivery is marked as sent and when the recipients receive the emails.

Avg. # of Recipients

This is the average number of message recipients for all messages sent for this campaign in Luminate history. That is, the average number of recipients is based off of the Message count. This number is equal to the average number of emails sent per email message.

Avg. Open

This is the average number of times that unique recipients have opened delivered email messages for this campaign in all Luminate history. This number does not include opens from a forward or Tell-A-Friend open.

Avg. Clickthrough

This is the average number of times that recipients clicked on a link contained within an emai message for this campaign for all Luminate history. This number does not include clickthroughs taken from a forward or Tell-A-Friend open. The clickthrough is counted by clicking the link only and does not reflect whether an action was taken.

Note: A recipient who clicks two or more links in a message is counted as a single clickthrough. Additional forwarded clickthroughs may be counted if a recipient clicks the same link in another browser or forwards the email and clicks it in the same browser if that browser does not store cookies.

Avg. Action

This is the average number of people who received a message for this campaign and completed an action on the message such as social sharing, making a donation, or taking a survey. This number does not include actions taken from a forward or Tell-A-Friend open.

Avg. Forwarded

This is the average number of emails that were forwarded to other email addresses for all messages for this campaign.

Avg. Tell-A-Friend

This is the average number of times the Tell-a-Friend forward page was used to forward any message for this campaign.

Note: If a recipient forwards to three different email addresses at the same time, it counts as a single instance of forwarding. If the same recipient sends to another friend the following day, it counts as another instance of forwarding.
