Set Up Message Delivery
When you're ready to set up message delivery, review the default delivery settings to ensure the message is sent to the delivery queue immediately or on the correct date. Also, verify that the Target List and Do Not Mail List groups are appropriate.
Sending a message immediately places it in the delivery queue, but it may be delayed if there are other jobs ahead of it or if your site has an agreement to release large email jobs at specific times to avoid disrupting normal activities or causing system performance issues.
To configure message delivery, you may need to:
Select the target audience groups.
Apply filters to ensure the message is sent only to the appropriate members.
Send carbon copies to recipients with both primary and secondary email addresses listed in their contact records.
You can check your configuration by calculating the number of messages that will be sent to the audience once all options have been applied.
After configuring the delivery, you can send the message to the queue for delivery to the intended recipients, either immediately or on the scheduled date/time.
Note: When you send an email, the status will show as Sent, even if there is an expected delay while the system processes the email. In such cases, statistics might not be immediately available but will be available soon.
