Email Delivery Status Messages

The following is a list of the status messages you may receive when sending out emails and what they mean.

Note: When you send an email, the status may show as Sent, even if there is an expected delay while the system processes the email. In such cases, statistics might not be immediately available but will be available soon.

  • Uninitialized – The notification record has been created in the database, but the email has not been scheduled or queued yet.

  • Initial State - The email is ready to be scheduled.

  • Draft State – The email is not yet queued or scheduled.

  • Calculating State - The email is not yet queued or scheduled and is calculating the number of recipients.

  • Calculated State - The email is not yet queued or scheduled but the number or recipients has been calculated.

  • Queued State – The email has been queued for delivery.

  • Scheduled State - The email has been scheduled for delivery.

  • Audience Generating State – The notification service is generating the audience for the delivery.

  • Audience Generated State – The notification service has generated the audience for the delivery.

  • Audience Error State – An error occurred while generating the delivery audience

  • No Audience State – The recipient count is zero.

  • Sending State – The system is rendering and emailing the message.

  • Send Error State – An error occurred while sending the email.

  • Sent State – The message was delivered successfully.

  • Rebuilding State – Dynamic segments (groups) are being rebuilt.

  • Rebuild Error State – An error occurred while rebuilding the groups.

  • Terminating State – Email delivery is being terminated.

  • Terminated State – The user has terminated the email delivery.

  • Cancelled State – The user has cancelled the email delivery.

  • Notification Aborted State – Something in the message content generated an error and caused the delivery to stop.

  • Notification Abandoned State - The delivery was terminated for some reason. This can happen is the task is killed.

  • Recurring Active State – The message will be sent on a recurring basis, once a day, to recipients.

  • Recurring Expired State – The recurring delivery has reached its expiration date.
