Preview the Message Dynamically

When you preview your message dynamically, you can see exactly how an email message would appear to your constituents. This tool is helpful for reviewing your message's layout and to ensure the personalized content is formatted correctly. To use, View Conditional Content Preview permission must be given to an administrator group.

You can choose to view the message as any of the following recipients:

• Site Administrator: This option opens by default and shows you the content with your current administrator login. This view can show you how the content displays when the recipient is not a donor or advocate.

• Constituent: Use this option to view the message as a specific constituent. This view is helpful to ensure personalized content, like name and donation amounts, and conditional information displays correctly.

• Group: Use this option to view the message as a specific group and then view the message as each group member. You can use a system generated group or create a group to test different conditions, like a donor, non-donor, advocate, and so on.

  By default, you can only view a message as the first three members of a group, and each test message you receive will include the constituent's name you are viewing in the subject line.

  Note: If you are using Multiple Locale Support, you will see the content for each Constituent according to that constituent’s preferred locale.

Dynamic preview in Email Campaign messages is available for HTML content, plain text content, variant HTML content, and variant plain text content.
