Understanding eCommerce Products

The Luminate Online Products application provides the tools to create products that you can sell through online stores and associate with the online donation forms. You can create and sell both virtual products (such as animal adoptions and memberships) and traditional durable goods (such as t-shirts, coffee mugs, stuffed animals, and so on). You can enable products to be purchased as tributes in honor of someone and set up the types of tribute information to collect.

You can create variants of products as options such as size, color, one-year and lifetime memberships, framed or laminated certificates, and so on. The inventory management tools enable you to assign stock keeping unit (SKU) numbers to the variants and then track the inventory of each product by SKU as the items sell.
