eCommerce Refunds
You can refund all or part of an eCommerce purchase or donation by crediting the amount back to the credit card or by reimbursing the buyer offline and recording the refund in the database.
The system also sends an autoresponder email to the buyer to confirm the refund. You can edit the content of the Full and Partial Refund Autoresponders, or disable them, from the Autoresponder Center under Site Options in the Administrator Interface (they are listed with the Donations Forms Applications Autoresponders) or directly in each eCommerce store.
Refunds can be issued through the Transaction Manager or through the Constituent Profile. The Transaction Manager offers more options for searching on the transaction than just name or email address. You can also search by the approximate purchase amount, the confirmation code of the purchase, or a date range.
