Understand Personal Fundraising Campaigns
Within a Personal Fundraising campaign, you can designate that constituents create:
Honorary Funds: To honor a loved one by name, with email notifications sent to the constituent when gifts are made.
Memorial Funds: To pay tribute to a special loved one who has passed away, with a designated next of kin receiving email notifications when gifts are made.
Personal Funds: To acknowledge a personal commitment to your mission.
All Three Types of Funds: You can enable all fund types within a single campaign.
You can create multiple campaigns, each dedicated to a specific fund type, ensuring the appropriate text and messaging are displayed to the creators of each fund type. While you can edit the minimum setup to change predefined settings and configure additional options, you cannot change the type of funds offered in a campaign after it has been saved.
The Champion Dashboard helps champions with multiple funds (within one campaign or across multiple campaigns) to switch between their funds. This dashboard is enabled by default.
Additional Fundraising Options
Fundraising Goals: Allow champions to set fundraising goals when they create their funds.
Setup Fee: Define a setup fee that champions must pay to create funds.
Fee Cover: Allow donors to pay transaction fees so more of your funds go towards your mission.
Funds Raised Tally: Define the number of gifts a champion must collect before the Funds Raised Tally on their fund page displays donors and gift amounts.
Information Gathering: Add questions to the champion information pages to gather more information.
Waiver Customization: Customize the waiver that outlines the guidelines for collecting donations.
Autoresponder Content: Customize autoresponder content sent in response to actions taken with funds and fund pages.
Message Templates: Create new message templates that fund champions can send to family and friends.
Fund Page Layout: Select the fund page layout that each champion will configure to tell their story and collect donations.
Text Customization: Customize text that displays on various pages, including the Champion Center, to identify the fund being managed.
Managing Campaign Funds
You can manage campaign funds by:
Creating a fund on behalf of a constituent.
Confirming cash and check gifts that the fund champion has entered and forwarded to you for official processing.
Editing the fund name, description, champion, and honoree.
Viewing and approving edits to fund web pages before they are made available online, if the Approve Fund Page feature is enabled.
