Contributed content solicitations are sent as email messages. A solicitation requests contributions of a certain type (News Story, Event Information, or Teaser Intro) for a collection. A solicitation informs potential contributors about the content purpose and specifies the content acceptance date, the approval method for submitted content, and the collections that can receive the solicitations.
Note: After you select the content type for a solicitation, you cannot change it.
When potential contributors receive the email, they click a link to the Contribution pages on your site where they can enter the content in a format you select and choose the collections that can view their contributions.
