Link to a Document Library File from a Page or Email
Provide a link to a file stored in your Document Library from your site pages or email messages.
To provide a link to a file

Create your new page version or email message.

Type the link text in the HTML Editor on your page or email message.

Select the text that you want to use as a link.

Click Links and select Document Library.

Locate the file in the Link Targets list.

Click Insert to insert the link and close the Link Selector box, or click Options to add special behavior, such as:

To open the document in a new window, choose the Open in new window checkbox.

To set an interest in the profile of the user who clicks the link, click Interest, and select the interest to associate with the user.

To remove an interest from a user profile, click Interest, select the interest, and click Remove this interest.

To set up alternative text to help users understand the file content, type a descriptive phrase in the Link Title field (For example, "Follow this link to open the Company Annual Report in PDF format").

Click Insert Link.

At the bottom of the HTML Editor, click Save.

To test the link in your page or email, preview your page or email and click the link.

Publish the page or send the email.
