Upload an Image to the Image Library

You can upload image files smaller than 6,000,000 total pixels (For example, 3000 pixels by 2000 pixels).

Accepted file formats in the Image Library are .gif, .jpg, and .png, but your organization can restrict file formats or add new ones using Site Options.

To upload an image to the Image Library

  1. Go to Library > Image Library.

  2. Click Upload Image.

  3. In the Add New Image box:

    1. For File Name, click Browse to locate and open the file to upload.

    2. For Graphic Title, enter the name of the image.

      Tip: Files in the Image Library display in alphabetic order by title.

    3. For Search Keywords, enter words or phrases that administrators might use to locate this file in the Image Library, including synonyms for the subject matter.

    4. For Security Category, click the option to restrict who can view or use this image.

      Note: A security category can only restrict availability of this image to specific parts of the product, such as TeamRaiser or Contributed Content.

    5. For Resize, enter the number of pixels in either the width or height field to keep the correct proportions and make this image display in this size every time it is inserted in content.

      Note: The system maintains this size as the maximum size when the image is used, but many features allow you to resize the image for smaller spaces.

    6. Click Upload.
