To create a URL shortcut

  1. Go to Library > URL Shortcuts to display the URL Shortcuts page.

  2. For Shortcut, enter a phrase up to 255 letters and numbers in length.

    Note: You cannot use spaces to separate words; instead use underscores, or dashes. The URL is not case sensitive.

  3. For Link to go to, to use the shortcut to display an internal target (such as a PageBuilder site page or a Donation Form):

    1. Select the module from the Select Target list.

    2. In the Link Selector box, click Insert on the Actions column of the actual target page.

  1. For Link to go to, to use an external resource:

    1. Select Web Address from the Select Target list.

    2. In the Link Selector box, if there is no link to select, click Create a New Link.

    3. In the Create box, enter the URL in the Web Address field and complete any other information.

    4. Click Insert Link.

  1. For Security Category, click the group of users who can view and modify this information.

  2. For External to the Luminate system, click the checkbox if you have set this shortcut to an external Web Address.

  3. For This redirect is Permanent, click the checkbox to make this shortcut always available to search engines.

  4. For Administrator’s Notes, enter any important information that admins should know about this shortcut.

  5. Click Create to add the new shortcut to list at the bottom of the page.

  6. To test the URL, click the entry in the Target URL column of the list.
