Managing Centers

The MultiCenter tool enables you to organize your constituents, campaigns, and settings into separate containers called Centers. You can control who has access to each Center, thereby dividing your online efforts to reflect the structure of your organization. Each Center might, for example, represent an affiliate, chapter, local office, department, or campus.

Once a Center is created, all objects (such as donation forms and surveys) that are created while working in that Center belong exclusively to that Center. Those who interact with Center objects become members of that Center and members can also be added manually or through Data Sync. Constituents can be members of a single center or they can belong to multiple centers.

Site administrators maintain control over all Centers; at the same time, however, Junior Administrators can be given the appropriate permissions to manage one or more Centers -- or even to manage specific tasks (such as donations or email) in one or more Centers. While working in a Center, administrators with default permissions cannot see objects or members of other Centers; in All Centers mode, administrators can see and select the objects and members of all the Centers for which they have permissions.
