Accessing Import/Export Operations

Site-Wide Administrators: Administrators with one of the System Administration permissions mentioned in the introduction above can access all Import/Export operations.

Center Administrators: new roles have been added that must be assigned to a Center’s administrative group to allow them to access Import/Export operations. These roles are grouped under the Data Synchronization Permission Type and include:

  • Manage Data synchronization -- allow administrators to view, create, edit, schedule, and run data synchronizations

  • Run and Schedule Data Synchronization -- allow administrators to view, schedule, and run data synchronizations

  • Run Data Synchronization -- allow administrators to view and run data synchronizations

  • View Data Synchronization -- allow administrators to view data synchronizations and results

Center administrators will not see any Import/Export Operations unless they have one of the above roles and they must be assigned one of these roles in each Center in which you would like to give them access to Import/Export (Data Sync) operations.

Note: In addition to being given a Data Synchronization role, administrators must also have the following Import/Export Management role or they will not even be able to see the Import/Export area: View Import/Export operations: Allows administrators to see the Import/Export menu item and go into that area. Requires an additional Data Synchronization role to run Import/Export operations or view results.
