Sharing MultiCenter Report Writer Definitions

If you are using both Report Writer and MultiCenter, you can "syndicate," or share, your report definitions with (and among) centers. You can send out report definitions to properly configured centers from any configured center as well as from All Centers mode, thereby providing a common report starting point that each center can in turn filter or otherwise modify as appropriate.

Each center must be configured independently to send report definitions, receive report definitions, or both send and receive. Report Definitions Syndication is by default disasbled for centers. At least one center must be configured to synidcate report definitions, and at least one other must be configured to receive syndicated report defintions. Once those configurations are set, an administrator working in a center who creates a Report Writer report is presented with a Syndicate Report action for that report definition.

Center administrators who are sent a Syndicated Report Writer Definition will find the defnition under the Syndicated Reports tab on the Report Writer main tab. They have two actions available:

• Run Report

• Copy

With Copy, the center administrator can alter the report definition to suit their center's activity.
