To run a Donation Report in Reports Classic:
Click Data Management on the top-level navigation bar and then select Reports from the drop-down list to open the Report Selection page.
Click the plus sign (+) beside the Donation Classic Reports folder to display the contents of the folder.
Click the link for the Donation Report.
On the Report Configuration screen that opens, select the Donation Form on which to base the report. To select more than one Donation Form, hold down the Ctrl key while making additional selections. You can also choose to Report on all donation forms.
Select a Gift Type from the drop-down menu. Choices include:
All Gift Types (Donations and Pledges)
Donations Only
Donations and Completed Pledges
Outstanding Pledges
Select a payment Processing Type from the following drop-down menu choices:
Both Online and Offline
Online Only
Offline Only
Choose whether to view only transactions with some sort of Special Handling Required on your part. Choices in the drop-down menu include:
All Gifts
Employer Matches
Tributes and Memorials
First Time Donors
Gifts with Associated Premiums
Joint Gifts
Choose a Donation Date range for this report. Your choices include:
Predefined Date Range (such as All Dates, This Month, This Calendar Year, etc.)
Custom Date Range (choose exact dates from the date menus provided)
Select a Gift Amount for this report. Choose either:
All Gifts
Only Gifts Between (you supply the range you would like to view)
Choose to view one of the following types of Donors for this report:
All Donors
Donors Named (you provide the First and/or Last Name)
Donors in These Groups (you select a specific group from the list supplied)
Choose the Premium options for this report from the following:
All Gifts Regardless of Premium Selected
Only These Premiums: (you select one or more premiums from the list supplied)
Choose Sort Report By from the drop-down menu. You can sort by Date, Amount, or Name in either Ascending or Descending order.
Choose a Report Format from the drop-down menu. Choose between:
The Long Format (4 - 8 lines per gift) -- allows you to see more information such as the donor's complete address, the name and address of the person to notify for Tribute and Memorial gifts (as well as the complete message and closing), the Employer name for Matching gifts, etc.
The Short Format -- may be easier to read and sufficient if you are simply looking for a list of gifts in a certain range or for a list of gifts associated with a Premium.
Provide a Label for this report to help you identify it at a later time.
Click Submit Report. The system will display the Report Results List with Queued as the Status of the report.
Click Refresh to update the Status of the report.
When the Status indicates that the report has been Completed, click one of the following icons beside the report:
(View) icon to display the report on your computer. You can save or print the report from the displayed view or add the results to a Group. You can also click the Add to My Reports link, provide a brief Description, and click Save if you would like to add this report -- with this configuration -- to the My Reports folder.
(Print) icon to print the report via your standard Print application.
(Download) icon to download the file to your local computer or shared network resource.
(Trashcan) icon to delete the report if you no longer need it.
