Affiliate Content

The Affiliate Content application allows you to syndicate PageBuilder pages so they are available to other Luminate powered sites. A large parent site can make its pages available to smaller chapter sites provided each is powered by Luminate; the chapter sites can also make pages available to the parent site, and chapter sites can even share pages among themselves.

A site that plans to export syndicate pages must create channels for syndication. These syndication channels, created in the Interests application, represent topics to which you can assign your pages. You then create PageBuilder pages, mark them for syndication, and assign each page to one or more channels.

An organization that plans to import syndicated pages must establish an affiliate relationship and then set up a task that will import the desired pages on a regular basis. In configuring the import task, the administrator selects the site ID of the exporting site and indicates the channels (topics) he wishes to import. As the pages are imported, they can be previewed on the Imported Content list page. The importing site can then display the pages on its own site using the Imported Content Component in the HTML Editor.
