Create a Security Category and Assign Objects
Security Categories allow you to refine permissions that you grant to Groups. The three basic security categories are:
Administrators only - Pages or other objects (such as email campaigns or messages, donation forms, and news articles) that are placed in this category are only visible to Site Administrators
General - Pages or other objects in this category are visible to any Site Visitor
Registered users only - Pages or other objects in this category are not visible to end-users until they log in
When you create a web page or other object, you must assign a Security Category to specify who can access it. You can assign it to one of the three default categories or to a custom category.
Custom Security Categories allow you to refine access privileges. For example, you can make some end-user pages visible only to your Board Members; or you give a group of junior administrators the ability to author only a few PageBuilder pages for your Spring Gala. In these cases, you would create a Security Category for the pages and give a group permission to see (or manage) only the pages in that Security Category.
Note: Security involves the interaction of groups and permissions as well as security categories. See Managing Security.

Click Setup > Security Categories.
Click Create a New Security Category.
Enter a Name and Description.
Select a Priority. The priority sets an order of preference for displaying content (pages, news articles, photos and surveys) associated with the Security Category. When multiple items of the same type exist, a page, article, photo or survey associated with a Very High Priority Category will be displayed before the corresponding item contained in a Low Priority Category.
(Optional) If C3 Category and C4 Category options display, select whether the organization for this category belongs to one of the categories.
(Optional) If the Luminate Online Only option displays, select to make the category visible only to Luminate Online administrators.
(MultiCenter only) If the Share Category option displays, select to make the group visible by other centers.
Select a Default Page Wrapper for pages in this Security Category. You will have the choice of any published Page Wrappers that are in the "General" Security Category. If you do not choose a default wrapper, pages in this category will display with the default wrapper for the General Security Category; or, if there is no default wrapper for the General Security Category, pages in this category will use the standard page wrapper for the site.
Tip: To create a new wrapper for a new Security Category, you need to 1) create the Security Category, 2) create a new wrapper and associate it with the Category, and 3) come back to this step in the Security Category configuration flow and choose the new wrapper as the default.
(Optional) Enter a Domain Name to display to constituents who view pages or articles from this category.
Click Save.

Note: The process for assigning a Security Category differs from object to object. For example, the process is different in Pagebuilder than in TeamRaiser. Refer to the help topic for the individual object to locate the Security Category option.
Open the appropriate application.
Click the Create New button (For example, Create New Page, or Create New Donation Form). The new object editing page displays.
In the Security Category list, select a Security Category.
Complete the rest of the object details and click Save.
Note: If you are going to allow the Security Group's members to author the content in this Security Category, give the Security Group permission to use the object. However, if you are going to allow your Group to manage content in this category but not actually create it, you must create the object yourself.

Click Constituent360 > Groups.
Click one of the following tabs:
Administrator Group List if the group contains administrators with your organization.
User Group List if the group contains constituents.
In the Actions column for the appropriate group, click Edit Permissions.
In the Choose Permission Type list, select an option and click Choose.
Select No Additional Permissions.
Tip: If you select any of the other options, you allow the group permission to modify all objects in that category. For example, if you select the Content - Pagebuilder Authoring Only, and then select the Author PageBuilder Content permission, the group would have permission to author all PageBuilder pages, not just the pages assigned to the Security Category.
In the Categories being overridden section, click Add an override.
In the Category Name list select a security category.
Select a permission set to grant to group members for objects in this category only.
Click Save.
Click Save and test the permissions.

Create a Security Category.
Assign objects to the Security Category. These are the objects (for example, Pagebuilder pages, Email Campaigns, and TeamRaisers) that members within the Security Group can access.
Create a Security Group and add members.
Grant permission for the Security Group to manage only the objects in that Security Category.
