Page Wrappers
A page wrapper is the overall framework surrounding the content on your web page and often includes the header, branding, and navigation links that are common to most pages of your site. You can choose to include a link to contact your organization or to a privacy policy.
You can have multiple page wrappers for different parts of your site, such as one for donation forms and another for TeamRaiser events.
Note: The Page Wrapper Editor requires permission. See How do I access the Page Wrapper Editor?
Security Categories
Designate a page wrapper as the default wrapper for any security category so that all pages in the security category display with that wrapper. If you do not designate a default page wrapper for a security category, pages in that security category use the default page wrapper for the General security category.
Each security category can have multiple active wrappers, but only one should be designated as the default wrapper for the category.
Note: If you deactivate the default page wrapper for a security category, the pages in that security category revert to using the default for the General security category. If no General security category default wrapper exists, the pages use the standard site wrapper.
Page Wrapper Versions
Only one version of a wrapper is Active at a time. You can have multiple versions of a page wrapper so you can make and test updates before setting the version as Active. You can edit the name and security category in the page wrapper attributes, but all other changes (HEAD and BODY attributes for example) are edited in the wrapper versions.
See Manage Versions of a Page Wrapper.
Multiple Locale
If you have Multiple Language enabled in your site, you can customize the content that displays in certain parts of the page wrapper by using the locale tabs for various fields, areas, and content editor blocks. You should also include a locale switcher in the page wrapper to enable constituents and visitors to select a preferred locale in which to view the site pages.
