Blueprint TeamRaiser

A Blueprint TeamRaiser is a template or model event used to create a series of related TeamRaiser events held in different locations that share similar attributes and values. The original Blueprint is called the parent and the next level is called the child.

For example, you might create a national attributes level and enter values that carry over to a regional attributes level before creating events at a local level.

Note: To access the Blueprint tab and features, contact Blackbaud to enable the BLUEPRINT_LOCKING_ENABLED Site Option.

Tiered Blueprints

In the tiered Blueprint approach, the top level site administrators can create and name the Blueprint and apply required and suggested values for the configuration settings. The top level administrator can lock the configuration settings they want all events to use.

Optionally, a second level of site administrators can create Child Blueprints to further customize any unlocked configuration settings or lock the settings they want all events to maintain. If the top or second level administrators make a change to a locked configuration setting in a Blueprint TeamRaiser, they can push the changes to all events created from the Blueprint or Child Blueprint. The Blueprint or Child Blueprint TeamRaiser is then copied to create the TeamRaiser event where people can donate and participate.

Note: The Blueprint changes are performed in a background task and may not be immediately available.

To gather similar Blueprints and their child events into a group, you can create a Primary TeamRaiser Event Type. This helps with associating events with other appropriate event items, such as upsell products and services that you want to offer during registration.

You must also provide an initial participation type that will be used in the child events generated from the Blueprint to create the structure required for participation types.
