TeamRaiser Event Status

To control activities allowed at different times of the TeamRaiser event, you can change the TeamRaiser event status from the Publish page (the last step in the TeamRaiser event configuration flow).

Unpublished

From the initial Unpublished status until the event is archived, event administrators and managers can enter registrations and gifts on behalf of a participant until the event is archived. Only event administrators and managers with the appropriate permissions can view and access the TeamRaiser event to perform certain management tasks, such as manually register participants.

Accepting Registrations Only

To make the online registration page available first to give participants a chance to get set up so that donors may support them, you can put the event in the Accepting Registrations Only status. This means that the links to search for a participant or team and donate directly to the event are not displayed on the event Greeting page.

Accepting Registrations and Gifts

To have both the registration page for participants and the online donation form available at the same time so donors can make donations to support the registered participants and teams (as well as the event itself), you can move the event to the Accepting Registrations and Gifts status. The Greeting page will contain links to join or form a team, register as an individual, search for a participant or team to support with a donation, and make a donation directly to the event.

Accepting Gifts Only

After the participant event occurs, you can change the status to Accepting Gifts Only to allow people to make their donations to the event, teams, or participants, but remove the online registration form from public view. The Greeting page will only contain the links to search for a participant or team to support and make a donation directly to the event.

Note that if the Accepting Gifts Only status is made available before the donors can support participants, donors can make donations directly to the event.

Closed

When you want to remove the online donation form from public view (and keep the online registration form from public view), you can set the event to the Closed status. You can finish administrative donation duties, like recording gifts, confirming gifts and so on, while the TeamRaiser event is in this state.

Note: When you close an event, it is recommended that you release the shortcut URLs that participants and teams may have created to their Personal and Team Pages so they can be used in future events. Using the Release Shortcut URLs action will remove them from the database.

After everything is recorded and you move on to the next event, you can archive the closed event if you want to remove it from the TeamRaisers list (unless the list is enabled to show archived TeamRaisers). If you created a TeamRaiser but never published it, you can archive it and then delete it.
