Participant Milestones

In TeamRaiser events, you can set fundraising milestone goals and assign image badges to recognize participants' achievements. These badges act as motivational tools, encouraging participants to raise more funds.

The badges can be icons, pictures, or other images that you upload to use in small spaces on the pages. The display areas are:

  • Personal Page: 64x64 pixels

  • Participant Lists: 16x16 pixels (next to the participant name)

Care should be taken when designing or choosing these images to ensure they're appropriate for these sizes.

Only one badge displays at a time for a participant. This means that only the badge awarded with the highest milestone achieved is shown, and it is replaced when the next milestone is reached.

If you use image badges, it is important to include a badge with each milestone to avoid confusing participants if a badge disappears without replacement. For example, if a badge icon displays for the $500 milestone, there should also be a badge icon for $501 (and above); otherwise, participants who raise at least $501 will not see a badge at all.

To notify the appropriate event administrators or managers of participants who have reached a milestone, you can schedule a notification that includes a list of the participants and the milestone achieved. This allows administrators or managers to personally praise those participants and coach them on raising additional funds. Notifications can be scheduled:

  • Daily

  • Weekly

  • Monthly

By default, an autoresponder is automatically sent to each participant who reaches a specific milestone. This message congratulates them on their fundraising efforts and outlines next steps. You can add special event-specific text below the default content. If event managers plan to handle milestone recognition differently, you can suppress this autoresponder to prevent it from being sent automatically.

To create several milestones at once, you can prepare a comma-separated values (CSV) file and upload it.

Although you can define multiple milestones and their associated badges, only three can be active at one time by default.

Because only the badge associated with the current milestone achieved is displayed, it is essential to include a badge with each milestone to avoid confusion when a badge disappears without replacement.
