Understanding Question Construction
The type of question to construct depends on the type of response you want to elicit. You can construct a:
CAPTCHA question (or challenge) to increase the chances that a person is submitting the registration page instead of a non-human (such as a software bot) by challenging the participant to enter the graphical string of letters and numbers exactly in order to submit the page
Caption question to explain, provide instructions, or divide a set of questions on the registration form
Date Value question to get a Month, Day, and Year response from each participant registering for the TeamRaiser event
Hidden Interest Update question to automatically place a checkmark in the checkboxes of predefined web content or email interest categories in the constituent Profile (also called the contact record) of each participant who submits a registration page containing the question
Hidden Text Update question to add a defined value to a field in the constituent Profile (also called the contact record) of each participant who submits a registration page containing the question
Hidden True/False Update question to add the TRUE or FALSE value to a field to a field in the constituent Profile (also called the contact record) of each participant who submits a registration page containing the question
Interest Categories question to have each participant select the checkboxes of the web and email content in which they are most interested
Multiple Choice Combo Box question to have each participant select their preferred choice from a drop-down list of several predefined options or enter a different option not in the list
Multiple Choice Multiple Response question to have each participant select several preferred choices from a drop-down list of options
Multiple Choice Single Response (Drop Down) question to have each participant select their preferred choice from a drop-down list of predefined options
Multiple Choice Single Response (Radio Buttons) question to have each participant select their preferred choice from a series of choices containing selectable radio buttons
Numeric Value question to have each participant answer a question with a number
Rating Scale question to have each participant express their opinion about the perceived quality of an item
Short Text Value question to have each participant enter their own free-form response in up to 40 letters, numbers, or spaces from the keyboard
Text Value question to have each participant enter their own free-form response in up to 255 letters, numbers, or spaces from the keyboard
Unlimited Text Value question to have each participant enter their own free-form response of unlimited characters.
True/False question to have each participant select either True or False from a drop-down list containing those two values
Yes/No question to have each participant select either Yes or No from a drop-down list containing those two values
