Understanding Team Management
You can view and work with the teams in a TeamRaiser event from the Team tab within the event itself.
Note: A team is considered the set of participants in the event. A National Company (or Regional Team) refers to the series of employee teams supported by a large company in multiple events.
The Manage action provides access to each team where you can:
Edit the details of a team to:
Modify their name or goal
Attempt to bring back their participation and gift history from a previous event and allow the team captain to view contact information for the members of that previous team (if the appropriate returning team options are enabled)
Change the company associated with the team
Work with the team page to:
Add more description text or a team photo
Set up the status indicators to display
Create a shortcut URL to the Team page
Record a new gift that a donor gives to the team and set the batch ID if you want to include that gift within a set of gifts being entered
Use the Gifts tab to view or edit information about a team gift received
Use the Members tab to update information about a member of the team
Use the Notes tab to add a note to share a detail about the team with other administrators or edit an existing one (The
Team Notes icon displays next to the name of a team that has notes available.)
Directly from the Teams list, you can assign a new team captain and disband the team to remove it from the event.
You can replace the current captain of a team with another member of the team , which automatically demotes the captain to a regular team member status. If the Multiple Captains site option is enabled and more than one co-captain is allowed, you can promote a team member to be a co-captain of their team if the maximum number of co-captains has not yet been exceeded.
When you disband a team from a TeamRaiser event, which changes the registration for participants on the team roster to individual participants unless you manually remove the participant from the event or change their team membership to another team. The system will remove the team name from all event lists and pages and change the soft credits for any confirmed team gifts to the event. Any unconfirmed gifts are deleted.
Note: Soft credit for gifts given directly to the participants who were members of the team are not affected.
