Associate TeamRaiser Registration Upsells

An upsell is a product or service, such as a race timing chip or towel service, that is included on a TeamRaiser registration form for optional purchase.

Each upsell product and service can be created in their own tab in the TeamRaiser area so they are available by default to all TeamRaiser events on your site. Or, you can restrict the use of an upsell to a specific TeamRaiser Type.

Note: Only 460 upsells are available on a site at one time. Delete archived upsells that you no longer need to make room for new ones.

When you offer your upsell to the registrant, options can display as either a:

  • Checkbox, useful for a Yes/No decision

  • Drop-down list of options, useful for several choices

Be aware that you cannot change the Display type (that is checkbox or select list) after the upsell is saved initially. You can set an option to be the default selection. To make additional information available, configure a More Info link to point to a page with an explanation.

When associating an upsell, set the price, fair market value, and inventory tracking options. You can also associate Interest Categories with each upsell.

Associate upsells with a TeamRaiser event

  1. On the Associate Upsells page, click Select a Registration Upsell.

  2. From the Registration Upsell list, select an upsell and click Next. The Review Display Options page displays.

  3. For the Name field, keep the upsell name or make any necessary changes.

  4. For the Upsell Description field, keep the description or make any necessary changes.

  5. For the Checkbox/Select List Text field, keep the text or make any necessary changes.

  6. For the More Info Link, keep the existing link, select a new PageBuilder page, or enter a new URL.

  7. In the Price field, enter the amount to charge each person for the upsell.

  8. In the Fair Market Value field, enter the amount that can be used for tax purposes when Price is set.

  9. For the Inventory field, select:

    • Not Tracking Upsells as Inventory if you do not want to track inventory.

    • Set Total Inventory Amount Available and enter a numeric value in the Available Inventory Amount field.

    • Set Inventory Amount per Option and enter a numeric value in the Inventory field under Available Options.

  10. For the Checked Initially field, select Yes to automatically display a selected checkbox on the registration form.

    Note: This field only displays when checkboxes are used with upsells.

  11. For the Pre-Selected Option field, select none or the list option you would like to display by default.

    Note: This field only displays when lists are used with upsells.

  12. Click Next. The Associate Interests page displays.

  13. Optionally select the interest categories a participant can select from their profiles when purchasing an upsell. Click Finish.

  14. Click Save.
