Delete Your Account

You can download your data, close your account, and delete your information from the Blackbaud Verified Network at any time.

Tip: Deleting your Blackbaud Verified Network account does not change your Blackbaud ID account. You can still use your Blackbaud ID for other Blackbaud solutions.

What to expect

When you delete your Blackbaud Verified Network account:

  • You can still sign in to your Blackbaud ID account for other Blackbaud solutions.

  • You lose admin access for your nonprofits.

  • Your nonprofits stay active in the Blackbaud Verified Network.

  • You are signed out after you confirm your deletion through email.

Tip: If you are the only admin for your nonprofit, invite another admin before you delete your account. Without an admin, charitable funding may be disrupted. For details, see Add New Users.

Download your data

You can download your personal information for your records. This is not required to delete your account.

  1. Open Blackbaud Verified Network at nonprofit.yourcause.com, and sign in with your Blackbaud ID (BBID) account.

  2. Select your account icon in the navigation, then select My account.

  3. Select Manage my account.

  4. In Manage My Account, select View and download data next to Download my data.

  5. Review your information on the Download My Data screen.

  6. Select Download to export your information to a CSV file.

The CSV file includes your name, email address, phone number, and job title.

Delete your account

Delete your account if you no longer want to use the Blackbaud Verified Network or store your information in the system.

Warning: When you delete your account, the system removes your information and your access. This action is permanent.

  1. Open Blackbaud Verified Network at nonprofit.yourcause.com, and sign in with your Blackbaud ID (BBID) account.

  2. Select your account icon in the navigation, then select My account.

  3. Select Manage my account.

  4. In Manage My Account, select Verify identity and delete next to Delete my account.

  5. In a separate tab or in your mobile app, open the email sent to your account email address.

  6. Review the message, then select Confirm account deletion.

After deletion, you cannot sign in again. To use the Blackbaud Verified Network again, create a new account.

Tip: If do not need to administer a nonprofit but want to keep your Blackbaud Verified Network account, we recommend removing yourself from the nonprofit account instead of deleting your account. For details, see Remove Users.

Submit a data request

To submit an opt‑out or deletion request for your Blackbaud solutions, complete the Blackbaud Data Subject Rights Request form. This request applies to every Blackbaud solution you use, including the Blackbaud Verified Network.
