What names and addresses are stored for organizations?

YourCause stores three names and addresses for each organization. Learn about each in the table below.

Name and Address Type Description
Registered Name and Address This name and address are provided by the government agency responsible for registering your organization. These cannot be changed in NPOconnect.
Disbursement Name and Address This is the name that appears on checks. This address is where YourCause will send payments. To update, see Update Disbursement Name and Address for Paper Checks.
Display Name and Address This name and address are displayed to donors in your Nonprofit Profile. It is not used for payments.
