International Vetting Renewal Guide
As your nonprofit organization's vetting nears expiration, you will be prompted to start the International Nonprofit Vetting Renewal process. This process includes updating the International Vetting Application previously submitted by your organization with the information requested by Blackbaud Compliance.
When it is time to renew, an email titled Your Nonprofit Organization's vetting is expiring soon
will be sent to active Nonprofit Administrators registered for your organization. You can then proceed with the renewal process as detailed in the steps below.
Note: The renewal application must be completed by an executive or board member for your organization. This does not have to be same individual who submitted the initial vetting application.

Only Nonprofit Administrators can apply for International Vetting on behalf of their organization. If you or another individual from your organization is not an active Nonprofit Administrator, you are required to register before you can proceed. For more information about the registration process, see our Registration resources.

Navigate to the Administration area in NPOconnect to begin the vetting process. The Vetting tile will display your organization’s current vetting status. Click on this tile to continue.

On the Vetting page, you will be presented with all the steps involved in the vetting process. The first step is Start Application. From this step, you will request your invitation to complete the International Vetting Renewal Application in GrantsConnect.
Select the Invite me now button to create your account in GrantsConnect and start your application. An email inviting you to submit the application in GrantsConnect will be sent to the email address on file.
A confirmation modal will appear when the email has been sent. The email will be titled Your Vetting Renewal Application is ready for you to complete and submit
and
sent from
Blackbaud Compliance.
Note: This invitation is only valid for 24 hours. You will be required to request the invitation again if you do not accept it during that time.
Once this invitation has been accepted, you will be directed to GrantsConnect.
-
If you do not have a GrantsConnect account, one will be created for you automatically with your email address as your ID. You will finalize the creation of this account in the next step.
-
If you already have a GrantsConnect account, you can use your existing account to proceed with renewal. The system will not create a new one.

After opening the email sent in Step 3, select Go to Invitation to accept your invitation to complete your application in GrantsConnect.
The GrantsConnect Sign In page will automatically open in a new browser tab. If you are new to GrantsConnect, you will be asked to set a password for your account. Your User ID is your email address.
Note: If you already have a GrantsConnect account, you can use your existing credentials to sign in.
Once your password has been set, you will be asked to verify your account and complete the setup. You will be taken directly to the International Vetting Renewal Application when you first sign in to GrantsConnect.
Note: If for some reason you are not taken directly to the application, navigate to My Applications and click on Revise form in the Revision Required banner at the top of the page to open it.

Before completing the application, you should determine if additional applicants need to be invited to complete the application. This application must be completed by an executive or board member. If the original applicant or Administrator does not fit this description, this individual should be added as a collaborator.
Note: Instructions for inviting additional applicants to complete an application can be found in the GrantsConnect Help.

All responses with the exception of the following documents will be pre-populated from your initial application:
-
Audited Financial Statements
-
Annual Activities Report
-
Public Support Test (PST)
Tip: A copy of the Public Support Test (PST) file from your previously approved application should be included in your renewal application. Ensure the file contains the most recent five-year financial year data by adding the current fiscal year and removing the oldest fiscal year.
Please provide updated documents in these fields. In addition, review the information throughout the application to ensure it is up to date, making any updates as needed.
Note: For more information about this documentation, see International Vetting Documentation Requirements.
Tip: To learn more about revisions, see Complete Revision Requests in the GrantsConnect Help.
