Event Registration Forms - Get Started Tab

On the Get Started tab, select the fund associated with the registration form and configure the payment options.

Configure options on the Get Started Tab

  1. Enter a name in the Name your event form field. The name is just for internal use only and will not display online.

  2. Click Search to select an event from The Raiser's Edge. To change the way the name displays on the registration form, enter a new name in the Display Name field. The price types display depending on what event you have selected.

  3. Modify the Price Types if needed:

    Tip: You can also modify price types in the event record in The Raiser's Edge.

    • Drag and drop the price types to reorder them.

    • Clear the checkmark in the Include column if you do not want to include it on the form.

    • Enter a new display name in the Display Name column if necessary.

    • Add a description in the Description column if necessary.

    • In the Registrants Number column, enter the number of registrants per price type (for example, enter 2 for a couple).

    • In the Registrants Max column, enter the number of people you want to limit the registration to, if needed.

  4. Click Search to select a fund for the registration fees.

  5. Under Select the payment methods to include, select whether to include Credit card, Direct debit, and Bill me later options on the form.

    If you select Credit card:

    • Select the payment configuration to use under Blackbaud merchant account. A payment configuration includes the gateway information, access credentials, fraud protection options, and supported card types to use when the form processes credit card payments.

      Note: If your account only uses one configuration, it's selected by default.

    • Select whether to use Blackbaud Checkout or the standard checkout to collect credit card information. For more information, see Credit Card Payments.

    Note: To allow direct debits, organizations using non-US bank accounts and for all customers using The Raiser’s Edge version 7.93, Patch 10 or lower, the Electronic Funds Transfer module for The Raiser's Edge is required.

  6. Click Generate receipts for this form to allow donors to download an eReceipt.
  7. Select Include consent opt-in to allow registrants to opt in to marketing communications when they register online. For more information, see Consent Tracking.

  8. Click Save & Continue to open the Field Options tab.
