Appeal Record Packages

The Packages tab shows how an appeal is broken down into individual solicitation packages, such as mailings, segments, or variations in message and format. Packages let you analyze appeal performance at a more granular level so you can see which tactics are driving results and which need adjustment.

Use the Packages tab when you want to move beyond overall appeal results and understand how specific packages contribute to gifts, donors, and revenue.

Tip: Packages can be deleted only when no gifts, expenses, or constituent appeal records reference them.

What The Packages Tab Shows

The Packages tab displays a list of all packages associated with the appeal you’re viewing. Each package represents a distinct solicitation effort tied to this appeal.

For each package, you can see key information such as:

  • Package ID and description

  • Package‑level goal (if set)

  • Recipient count

  • Active or inactive status

You can toggle the view to show or hide inactive packages, making it easy to focus on current efforts or review historical activity.

What You Can Do With Packages

The Packages tab is designed to help you manage and evaluate solicitation strategies at the package level.

Use it to:

  • Review which packages are included in the appeal

  • Compare performance across different mailings or segments

  • Identify high-performing or underperforming packages

  • Validate that gifts are being attributed to the correct packages
