Fund Records

The modernized Fund record allows you to visually monitor how your gifts are allocated, understand donor support, and track progress toward fund-specific goals. Whether you’re managing a general operating fund, a restricted scholarship fund, or a time-bound initiative, the updated layout helps you quickly see how the fund is performing, what’s driving results, and where to focus next.

This topic introduces what’s available in the new Fund record, what you can do in each area, and how to make the most of its insights .

From the Fund record, you can:

  • Edit existing fund details

  • Delete a fund

  • Mark a fund active or inactive

  • Add or update a summary note

  • Assign and manage fundraisers and their goals

  • Review all gifts and donors tied to the fund

  • Analyze giving patterns and revenue trends over time

Tip: Use the fund’s Summary note to capture important context — such as the fund’s purpose, restrictions, strategy, or known reporting considerations — so anyone reviewing the record understands what the fund represents and how it’s being used.

Visual Insights into Fund Performance

The tiles on the Overview, Details, and Analysis tabs provide near real-time visualizations that update dynamically — without reloading the page — as you adjust filters like Gift date or Revenue type. Many tiles are interactive: hover to view details, or select values to open underlying records in a flyout.

These insights help you move quickly from “What’s happening?” to “What should I do next?” without leaving the fund record.

Use the following topics to explore each area in more detail:

Permissions and Security

Raiser’s Edge NXT applies role‑based access controls throughout the fund record:

  • Users see only the data their security roles allow.

  • Tile interactions respect record-level security.

  • Editing and management actions require appropriate permissions.

If you don’t see certain tabs, tiles, or actions, check with your admin.

Extending the Fund Record

If your organization builds customizations, developers can extend the campaign record using SKY API.

Developers can:

  • Add page actions to the fund record header

  • Add custom tiles to existing tabs

  • Register new custom tabs alongside the standard ones

  • Rely on full compatibility with existing SKY API integrations
