Grid Batch Column Behavior

To link a batch gift to event participation, under the Event participation column, select Link event participation. Select from the list of event registrations to link the gift to, or search for an event registration from a different constituent. Only events within a 2 year window will display in the list: 1 year before today to 1 year after today's date.

Note: Events with no start date do not display in the list. This mainly affects events created in database view.

Select Save.

If you set the default for the Gift Type field to Stock/property, you should also add the Stock details column to the batch to capture the issuer, symbol, units, and average price per unit. For more information, see Stock/Property Gifts.

For split gifts, you can you can define a default distribution percentage instead of calculating individual amounts per split. From Configure columns, next to Split, select Split gift from the Default column. define the default distribution — including amounts or percentages, and the associated campaigns, funds, appeals, and packages. For more information, see Split Gifts.

You can set a split distribution for individual gifts in the batch instead of using the default distribution. On the gift row, select Split. Select the split amount, and the associated campaign, fund, appeal, and package. Select Add another split to add additional splits. Select Done. This will override the default split percentage.

To link a batch gift to a tribute, under the Tributes column, select Apply tribute. Select from the list of tributes.
