Batch Configuration

You can reorder the field columns on grid batches and set default values for the fields, and hide fields you don't need.

From Gifts, Overview, select Add, New grid batch, or on an existing unapproved batch's record, select Edit, Edit in grid view.

  1. Select Configure columns.

  2. Select fields from the field list to add to the batch

    Tip: To quickly find fields in the field list, you can search the list by name.

  3. In the Default value column, enter the default values for the fields. Every time you add a new gift to the batch, the default value appears in the field. For example, if you add only cash gifts in a batch, you can enter the default for the Type field as “Cash”. If you do not want to specify a default value, you can leave the field blank.

  4. To reorder the columns, select the handle next to a field name and drag it to a new position in the list. Alternatively select the Top button to move a field to the top, which will become the leftmost column on the grid after Status.

  5. Select Apply to apply the changes to the grid. If no other changes are made on the grid, you must Save the batch for column changes to be saved. Or select Save as template to save the column configuration as a template to be reused for other batches.

Note: You can't deselect required fields unless you save a default value to the column first.
