Apply a Batch Template

You can apply one of your saved batch templates to a batch to load fields and values automatically so you don't need to reenter the same information on each gift. This helps maintain consistency and reduces data entry errors.

Note: You can still edit the gift values after they're pre-populated by the template.

On a new batch

1. From Gifts, Overview, select Add, New grid batch.

2. Under batch details, you can search for a saved template under Batch template.

3. Select Create batch.

On an existing, unapproved batch

1. From Gifts, Overview,under Unapproved batches, to the left of an existing unapproved batch's number, select Edit, Edit in grid view.

2. Select the Apply template button.

3. Search for one of your existing batch templates and select Apply.

Note: When you add a template to a batch that already contains gifts, it only applies to new gifts that are added to the batch. Gifts already in the batch are unaffected by the template.
