Gift Batch template

Note: Don't have the batch templates yet? Expect its wider release in a future update.

Batch templates allow you to load predefined fields into a new batch. From Batch templates, you can create a template, assign a name, and select the desired fields and default field values.

Once you create a batch template, you can use it to create new batches with the same fields and settings to ensure consistency and reduce data entry errors. For more information, see Gift Batches List

  1. From Gifts, Overview, select Batch templates under Related Links.

  2. Select New.

  3. Enter a unique name for the batch template.

  4. Select fields from the field list to add to the batch template so you don’t have to remember which fields to add when you work with new batches.

    Tip: To quickly find fields in the field list, you can search the list by name.

  5. In the Default value column, enter the default values for the fields. Every time you add a new gift to the batch, the default value appears in the field. For example, if you add only cash gifts in a batch, you can enter the default for the Type field as “Cash”. If you do not want to specify a default value, you can leave the field blank.

  6. Select Save.
