Giving Hierarchies
If your organization previously used Raiser’s Edge Enterprise, you can create hierarchies to track how giving flows through funds to the campaigns they support. When you start a campaign, you can assign fundraising goals for the campaign and its linked funds that receive gifts for specific purposes. With a giving hierarchy, you define levels that represent the “parent/child” relationship between the campaign's funds, where a fund that ranks higher in the hierarchy is the "parent" to the funds beneath it. On a campaign's record, you can view details about its linked funds under Giving hierarchy.

Linked funds — The total number of active and inactive parent funds that support the campaign.

Total goal amount — The overall goal of the linked funds.
For each linked fund, you can view its goal and whether it's the Default for gifts given toward the campaign. To view child funds in the hierarchy and their goals, expand the parent fund.

On a fund's record, you can view how many active and inactive campaigns it supports — and the goals set for each — under Giving hierarchy. To view other funds in the hierarchy and their set goals, expand the campaign they support.

Tip: In the database view, you can manage a campaign's hierarchy of linked funds on the Giving Hierarchy tab of its record. You can also manage the goal of a campaign or fund on the General tab of its record in the database view.
