Home Page Permissions

Just like the rest of Raiser's Edge NXT, the Home page relies on permissions for what people can see, customize, and act on the data. If you don't see a tile you think you should, contact your admin to review your permissions. To help your admin, provide the information below for how to modify the permissions for tiles.

Add-ins

For users to see Add-in tiles and links to add to their Home page, a user with permission to manage Marketplace applications must connect applications with SKY Add-ins to your Blackbaud environment. From Security, Role management, search for and edit the Marketplace roles. Then, select Show permissions for Marketplace application tasks and make sure that role has Connect, Applications permission selected.

Appeal tracker

All users can see the dashboard. If a user has a fundraising role assigned with permission to see appeals, then a View appeals dashboard link appears also.

From Security, User management, make sure the user has a fundraising role assigned.
From Security, Role management, search for and edit the fundraising role assigned to the user. Then, select Show permissions for Analyze tasks and make sure that role has Appeals, View permission selected.

Campaign tracker

All users can see the dashboard. If a user has a fundraising role assigned with permission to see campaigns, then a View campaigns dashboard link appears also.

From Security, User management, make sure the user has a fundraising role assigned.
From Security, Role management, search for and edit the fundraising role assigned to the user. Then, select Show permissions for Analyze tasks and make sure that role has Campaigns, View permission selected.

Fund tracker

All users can see the dashboard. If a user has a fundraising role assigned with permission to see funds, then a View funds dashboard link appears also.

From Security, User management, make sure the user has a fundraising role assigned.
From Security, Role management, search for and edit the fundraising role assigned to the user. Then, select Show permissions for Analyze tasks and make sure that role has Funds, View permission selected.

Fundraiser performance

Only users with specific permission can see and use this dashboard fully.

From Security, User management, make sure the user has a fundraising role assigned.
From Security, Role management, search for and edit the fundraising role assigned to the user.
- Under Work tasks make sure that role has Access other's portfolios selected.
- Under Lists tasks, make sure the role has Access all lists selected.

My actions

Only users with specific permission, including being an active fundraiser, can see and use this tile fully.

From Security, User management, make sure the user has a fundraising role assigned.
From Security, Role management, search for and edit the fundraising role assigned to the user. Then, make sure the user has one of the following permissions selected.
- Under Work tasks, select Show permissions and make sure that role has Actions, View selected.
  or
- Under Lists tasks, select Show permissions and make sure the role has Actions, View selected.
If a user has both permissions selected, the Work tasks permission takes priority.

Opportunity pipeline

Only users with specific permission can see and use this tile fully. If a user has a fundraising role assigned with permission to see opportunities, then a View opportunity dashboard link appears also.

If you are not a fundraiser, this tile is not available. If you are a fundraiser, make sure you have the following permission.

From Security, User management, make sure the user has a fundraising role assigned.
From Security, Role management, search for and edit the fundraising role assigned to the user. Under Opportunities tasks select Access all opportunities lists.

Prospects Insights

Only users with specific permission can see and use this dashboard fully.

From Security, User management, make sure the user has a fundraising role assigned.
From Security, Role management, search for and edit the fundraising role assigned to the user. Under Prospect workflow tasks select Show permissions and make sure that role has View, "Manage personal portfolio", and Manage all portfolios for Prospects selected.

Recent gifts

Only users with specific permission can see and use this tile fully. If a user has a fundraising role assigned with permission to see gifts, then a View gifts dashboard link appears also.

If you are not a fundraiser or admin this tile is not available. If an admin is not a fundraiser, they can see all recent gifts only. If you are a fundraiser, make sure you have the following permissions.

From Security, User management, make sure the user has a fundraising role assigned.
From Security, Role management, search for and edit the fundraising role assigned to the user.
- Under Lists tasks select Show permissions and make sure that role has Gifts, View selected.
- Under Work tasks, select Show permissions and make sure that role has Gifts, View permission selected.

Updates

Everyone can see and use this tile with no additional permissions required.

Year-over-year fundraising

Only users with analyze overview permission can see this dashboard.

From Security, User management, make sure the user has a fundraising role assigned.
From Security, Role management, search for and edit the fundraising role assigned to the user. Then, select Show permissions for Analyze tasks and make sure that role has Overview, View permission selected.

Can't load Home page configuration

If you see a Can't load Home page configuration message, your account may not have the permissions needed to load your Home page settings. Contact your admin and share this topic so they can review your role and update your permissions as needed.
