To view an insight in Insights, select Open, and search by its name or select it under all.

To add an insight to a dashboard in Dashboards, search by its name under Saved insights and move it to the dashboard.
Tip: When you search for an insight, those provided out-of-the-box appear with a lock. To save any additional filters or other changes to a default insight, select Save as new to create a custom insight.

To help ensure opportunities are completed, you can assign the effort to a fundraiser. To analyze a fundraiser's assigned opportunities, use these insights:

Fundraiser opportunities — How many opportunities — funded, and in total — each fundraiser is assigned, and how much they acquire.

Fundraiser prospects and opportunities — For more detailed analysis, use this insight to gauge:

How many assigned prospects and opportunities each fundraiser has

How many of those prospects and opportunities have had a status for too long in your moves management or solicitation process
Tip: Admins! To set up the order of opportunity statuses to match your solicitation process, sort the Proposal Status table in Tables from Config in the database view.

With this information, you can easily identify which fundraisers juggle too many opportunities and ensure balanced assignments.
Note: Admins! To alert fundraisers when an opportunity has a status for too long, you can set how long they should be in each stage of your solicitation process before they're past due. For more information, see Opportunity Status.

To track the intended uses for gifts given in response to the opportunity, you can apply the effort toward specific campaigns and funds. To analyze how giving through opportunities applies to your fundraising efforts, use these insights:

Opportunities by campaign — How many opportunities apply giving toward each campaign, and how much they ask, expect, and receive as funding

Opportunities by fund — How many opportunities apply giving toward each fund

To help detail your efforts to secure a major gift, you can use statuses — such as Initial contact, Pending, and Accepted — to track where an opportunity is in your solicitation process. To analyze opportunities based on their status, use these insights:

To analyze how many opportunities are at each stage of your solicitation process, use the Opportunities by status insight.

To gauge how long opportunities stay in each status of your solicitation process, use the Opportunity status analysis insight. With this insight, you can track:

How many opportunities assigned to fundraisers have each status

The average and maximum number of days opportunities have each status
-
How many opportunities have a status for too long
-
How much is asked, expected, and funded for opportunities at each status
With this information, you can identify potential bottlenecks in your solicitation process and fundraisers who may juggle too many opportunities.

Tip: To narrow the focus of a headline to only opportunities that meet specific criteria, apply an attribute filter to the fact or insight. For more information, see Attribute Filters.

As you manage opportunities, we recommend you save pertinent gift amounts to help track their effectiveness and whether they meet expectations. Use these headline insights to analyze these funding amounts.

Opportunity asked amount — The total amount requested through all active opportunities

Opportunity expected amount — The total amount anticipated through all active opportunities

Opportunity funded amount — The total amount received through all active opportunities
