Opportunity purpose analysis

Track the intent of gifts received for each opportunity as its purpose. To gauge the focus of your opportunities and identify areas that may need more attention, select Analysis, Fundraising dashboards, Opportunities. Under Opportunities by purpose, view how many active opportunities apply to each purpose.

Tip: To view a list of opportunities for a specific purpose, select its bar in the chart. For further analysis, select Create list to open the list, apply additional filters, choose columns, and save for future reuse. For more information, see Lists.

Purpose looking neglected?

If some purposes receive more support than others, that may be intentional. For example, certain purposes may resonate more with donors and benefit from extra attention. If a purpose deserves additional focus, consider it for new opportunities.

Tip: To adjust the intent of an opportunity, such as shifting its focus to a less supported initiative, edit its purpose. For more information, see Proposal Summary.
