Opportunity summary

At the top of an opportunity's record, the summary displays key details about the effort, including name, constituent, purpose, and status.

Name

The opportunity name appears at the top of the record and throughout the program, such as in lists or on the constituent's record. Use a name that easily identifies the opportunity.

Constituent

The Constituent field displays who the opportunity aims to cultivate a relationship with and solicit a gift from. To view more details, select the constituent's name to open their record.

Note: An opportunity can only be associated with one constituent. However, a constituent may have multiple opportunities associated with them.

Purpose

The Purpose field displays the intent of any money received as a result of the opportunity.

Tip: Set up and manage available purposes from Purposes in Tables. For more information, see Tables.

Deadline

The Deadline field displays the goal date for when the opportunity results in a gift.

Status

The Status field displays where the opportunity is in your solicitation process. For more information, see Manage opportunity statuses.

Summary note

Pin a note to the top of the opportunity record to provide an overview or additional details about the plan. Use the summary note to quickly understand the opportunity and prepare for interactions. For details, see Summary notes.
