Solicit Codes
Solicit codes are a constituent's specific rules of contact, such as to not call after 8:00 p.m. or on weekends. To help maintain positive relationships with constituents, use these rules to make informed decisions about when to reach out and to tailor communications to honor their requests. You can also set a date range of when a solicit code is valid or applies to the constituent. On a constituent's record, you can manage their rules of contact under Solicit codes.
-
Under Solicit codes on a constituent's record, select Edit.
-
Select Add a solicit code.
-
Choose the solicit code to add, and — if applicable — enter when it's valid.
-
Select Save.

-
Under Solicit codes on a constituent's record, select Settings.
-
Under Display alert, choose which solicit codes should appear as alerts on constituent records.
-
Select Save.
Admins only! To help your organization control who can change a constituent's solicit codes, manage access from the database view.

From the database view, in Administration, select Security.
-
In the Security list, open the group
-
Under Group Privileges, select Records, and then Options.
-
Under Record Types, select Constituents.
-
Under Miscellaneous Constituents Options, select Solicit Codes.
-
Select OK, and then Save and Close.
Tip: While solicit codes indicate rules of contact for a constituent, you can also set rules for specific contact information — such as to not use a phone number or email address — under Contact information. For details, see Contact Information.
Note: You can manage solicit codes from Solicit Code in Tables. For more information, see Tables.
