Send Donation Form Receipts to Donors

When you use gift receipting in Raiser's Edge NXT, you can enable emailed receipts for gifts that come through a donation form.

  1. From Online Giving, select Donation forms, and open the form.

  2. From Confirmations, under Receipt, select how you want to delivery receipts.

    • Don't send receipts - receipts aren't automatically sent

    • Send in the thank you emails - automatically sends the email with a link to the receipt immediately after a donor submits a one-time or recurring gift through the form.

      Tip: The Transaction Details merge field in the thank you email includes the receipt link unless you remove it.

    • Send when approving gift batches - automatically sends receipts external to the form's Thank you email after you approve the gift batch.

  3. Enable receipt delivery for the gift types you want to support.

  4. Select a receipt series for numbering behavior.

  5. Continue editing the form or save your changes.

Note: If a PDF receipt can't be generated, the email is sent without the link. The gift is marked "Needs receipt".
