Checkout Display

Checkout display on a Standard Donation Form determines whether supporters can complete their payment directly in the donation form or in a pop-up window.

Note: Forms created before this was available continue to use a pop-up window until you edit the form and change it.

Change the Checkout Display for a Standard Donation Form

1. From Online Giving, Overview, create or edit a donation form.

2. Under Payment and fees, select an option for Checkout display.

   • Embed in the form keeps supporters on the page to complete payment without interruption. New forms use this option by default.

   • Open in pop-up window displays payment options in a secure pop-up after supporters submit the form.

3. Continue designing the form and save it.

Warning: If you switch a form from Embed in the form to Open in pop-up window, the form removes the embedded payment component from the form and restores the Checkout style options in the Form designer.

How Checkout Display Affects the Form

When you select Embed in the form:

• From Form, you can drag the checkout to reposition it on the form, but you can't remove it.

• You can no longer style the checkout in the Form designer.

• If Enable supporters to pledge without payment is enabled for the form, supporters see Bill me later as a checkbox, instead of a link next to the submit button.

• If Recurring gift upsell is enabled for the form, it displays below the gift amounts, instead of in a pop-up.
