Find Parameter IDs

Before you manually add ID-based parameters to a URL, find the IDs for the parameters you want to use.

Tip: To save time and reduce errors, use the URL parameter builder to assemble a valid URL. This ensures the parameters are combined correctly so you don't have to manage the URL formatting rules manually.

1. From Online Giving, select Donation forms or Membership forms, and select a form.

2. Under Publish methods, select URL parameters.

3. Select Build hyperlink with parameters.

4. Under Designation, Campaign, Appeal, Package, or Membership category, select the parameter and find the value you want. Make note of the ID number so you can add it manually to the form's URL.

   Warning: When you add a package to a URL, also add the associated appeal to the URL or add the appeal in the donation form. Otherwise, when you approve a batch you will have to resolve the batch exceptions.

   Tip: On membership forms, the membership category selector displays each category's ID in parentheses next to its name, so you can find the ID without leaving the selector. The package parameter is not available for membership forms.

Add Parameters to URLs

After you have your IDs, add the parameters to your URL:
