Opening the opportunity record before asking produces the richest plan. With record context, the response incorporates the expected ask amount, close date, and the constituent's communication preferences to time each step appropriately and avoid opted-out channels.

The response from this prompt depends on whether your organization has action plans. Action plans are a Premium feature available to organizations on Raiser’s Edge NXT Complete.

  • With Action plans: A structured plan with 3 to 7 dated steps, a recommended channel per step (phone, email, mail, or task), and specific talking points. Steps are spaced across the next 6 months, respect the constituent's communication opt-outs, and are anchored to the opportunity's ask amount and deadline. Any of the individual communications the plan recommends, such as emails, phone call starters, or letters, can be drafted in a follow-up message.

  • Without Action plans: A conversational response with general next-step suggestions. It won't include specific dates, channel assignments, or structured talking points.
