Constituent criteria

When you create a workflow, you can set parameters that start the workflow when it meets the conditions of the constituent criteria that you select. For example, you can select criteria that starts the workflow when a constituent gives a gift of a certain amount.

Note: These parameters are not immediately active. Workflows check for constituents who meet the criteria every night beginning the date you activate the workflow.

1. In your empty workflow, select Add first step, Select criteria.

2. Select a condition that starts the workflow when met.

3. Select the constituent criteria that you want to start the workflow.

4. Select Save, review the configured event condition, and then select Save again. The first step in your workflow is the constituent criteria that you set, and you can continue to add emails, actions, and conditions to the workflow. For more information, see Workflow steps.
