Add Designations to an Optimized Donation Form

Designations direct gifts to the correct area of financial need. You can include one or more designations on an Optimized Donation Form and control how they appear to donors.

Add Designations

  1. From Online Giving, Donation forms, select an Optimized Form to edit or create a new one.

  2. From Donation, under Designations, select one or more designations to include on the form.

    • If the form has one designation, it doesn't appear to donors.

    • If the form has more than one designation, donors can select the one they want to support.

Note: Donors can select only one designation. Optimized Donation Forms don't support splitting gifts across multiple designations.

  1. Continue to edit the form and save it.

Change Designation Labels and Order

If you include more than one designation, you can change the labels and the order they appear to donors on the form.

  1. From Online Giving, Donation forms, select an Optimized Form to edit or create a new one.

  2. From Donation, under Designations list:

    • Labels: select Use default names or Set labels to change what appears to donors.

    • Sort order: select A to Z or Set order to arrange designations in a different order for donors.

  3. Continue to configure the form or save it.
