Enable Recurring Gift Upsell for Donation Forms

Recurring gift upsell encourages donors to give monthly recurring gifts.

  • For an Optimized Donation Form, a monthly gift suggestion automatically appears when the donor selects a one-time gift.

  • For a Standard Donation Form, a monthly gift suggestion appears when the donor selects a one-time gift after you enable recurring gift upsell on the form.

Note: Recurring gift upsell doesn't appear for donor-entered gift amounts or amounts equal to or greater than $1000.

Recurring gift upsell requires that a donation form:

  • include one-time gifts;

  • and process payments with Blackbaud Merchant Services.

  1. From Online Giving, Overview, create or edit a Standard Donation Form.

  2. Under Get started, Fundraising opportunities, select Enable recurring gift upsell for one-time gifts.

    Tip: To turn it off, clear Enable recurring gift upsell for one-time gifts.

  3. Continue designing the form and save it.

  1. From Online Giving, Overview, create or edit a Standard Donation Form.

  2. Under Form, select Click to edit on the gift amounts.

  3. Update the title and text and select Done.

  4. Continue designing the form and save it.

Tip: The highest amount button in the prompt respects font and color changes made to the Payment button in the Form designer. To make these changes, under Form, select Payment button under Style in the Form designer.

You can view the projected recurring gift total and percentage of donors who converted their one-time gift to a recurring gift from Online Giving, Overview.
